for Silène Fry, creation is a celebration of chance and serendipity. her journey into the world of ceramics began unexpectedly when she stepped into a Japanese ceramic studio in New York. this fortuitous encounter sparked a profound creative evolution, reshaping her artistic vision and defining the essence of her work.

through hours of meticulous experimentation, Silène refined her craft, embracing the unique details and instinctive beauty that emerge from subtle imperfections.

deeply inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, which honors the imperfect and ephemeral, her work embodies a sense of instinctive freedom. she transforms flaws into art, crafting ceramics that are raw, natural, and deliberately

imperfect—pieces that evoke poetry and emotion.

her creations, characterized by the research of textures and organic forms, draw from the ever-evolving inspiration of nature. Each piece is a singular exploration, shaped by hand to ensure no two are ever alike. this dedication to uniqueness

makes every object a distinct expression of artistry and discovery.

born and raised between France and Switzerland, Silène developed a deep connection to the natural world and a passion for tactile artistic pursuits. In 2017, her career took her to New York City, where she encountered Japanese ceramics, a

practice that profoundly influenced her sense of purpose and artistic identity. by 2021, after moving to Paris, she founded her own ceramic brand, driven by a desire to create objects that resonate with daily life.

Silène’s work thrives on instinct and spontaneity. free from preconceived ideas or rigid constraints, she lets her creative process be guided by what she fondly call "happy accidents". her ceramics embody movement, texture, and authenticity,

inviting viewers to embrace imperfection and celebrate the beauty found in the unexpected.
