Carnet de textures — fragments of a sensory journey

I see my work as a ceramic artist as a journey through material.

A path without a map, shaped by gestures, attention, and silent exploration,
and this journal is its reflection.

To travel is sometimes to pause. To listen. To touch. To compose.

This journal is a passage.
A journey through forms, textures, and silences,
where each collection becomes a stop along the way,
and each installation, an inner landscape to inhabit with the eyes.

Movement plays a central role here,
the movement of the body, of breath, of the gaze as it flows around each piece,
but also the movement of places crossed,
misty forests, distant shorelines, forgotten paths.
Real journeys feed the gesture,
and the material, in return, holds the imprint of these fragments of the world.

Nature is a constant presence.
It inspires volumes, textures, rhythms.
You might sense a leaf, a shadow, a layer of bark, a trace of stardust.
It is never quoted directly, but always there,
like a quiet pulse in every creation.

For me, creating is about experimenting.
Following intuition, welcoming the unexpected,
letting emerge what cannot be planned.
It’s a search for a sincere dialogue between gesture and material,
between what is mastered and what resists.

Welcome to this Carnet de textures
Perceive. Touch. Feel.
